Teaser Trailer Released for Fan-Made Live Action Left 4 Dead Movie
In November 2009, a small filmmaking production studio called Mexican Standoff started working on a non-profit fan film based on Valve’s hit zombie shooter Left 4 Dead.
A trailer for the upcoming film, simply entitled ‘Left 4 Dead – The Movie‘ was just uploaded to YouTube and has already gained some traction, check it out:

It was today, November 16th 10 years ago in 2004 when Valve first released Half-Life 2 for the PC.
To celebrate, LambdaGeneration is hosting a live 24-hour playthrough of the game.
XboxAhoy’s Excellent Half-Life Retrospective
The popular “XboxAhoy” YouTube channel, which is a member of the Machinima.com gaming network, just uploaded an excellent retrospective video analysis that explores Valve’s success with the original Half-Life.
Written by Stuart Brown, the video analysis highlights the early influences of Half-Life, such as Quake as well as the affect that Half-Life’s release had upon the FPS in genre, including the modding scene as well as Valve’s later developments with Team Fortress, Steam and the Source engine.

An animator known as Tim Hijlkema recently uploaded an amazing short film that reimagines scenes from a list of 15 popular video games, including Half-Life, Left 4 Dead and even spin-off Source mod The Stanley Parable.
Indiegogo Campaign Launched for Upcoming Fan Film ‘Half-Life: The Downfall of Evolution’
The team behind the upcoming live action fan film series “Half-Life: The Downfall of Evolution” have launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that seeks to raise $20,000 before the 30th October.
Half-Life Backwarding?
Recently, GoldSrc speedrunner “quadrazid“, previously famous for his 20 minute Half-Life 1 speedrun, uploaded a video of what he calls “Half-Life Backwarding”, which is exactly what it is.
In the short video, quadazid attempts to make his way through various Half-Life levels such as the Hazard Course as fast as he can, but this time facing backwards.
If you thought normal Half-Life speedruns are crazy enough, then this has just taken it to a whole new level.
‘Lambda’ Fan Film Trailer Released
We previously covered the announcement of a new Half-Life fan film called “Lambda” a few weeks ago however the director Connor Botts just put up the official trailer, which looks pretty epic.
The story is set just prior to the events of Half-Life 2 and follows a character known as Dominic Ryan, a resistance fighter who teams up with Barney Calhoun and Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2 in an attempt to rebel the Combine forces currently dominating the Earth.
