Interview with INFRA Developer Oskari Samiola + 30 Copies to Giveaway!

We recently covered the launch of INFRA – A new Source-based puzzle-adventure game.

Oskari Samiola, the lead developer of Infra and founder of Finnish game studio Loiste Interactive agreed to do an interview with LambdaGeneration to talk about the game and its development.

We will also be giving away 30 copies of Infra, details about this at the end of the article.

City 17: Episode One Devs Release Assets to the Modding Community!

Well, the holidays are finally over! It’s a new year and it’s about time to get back to reporting news…from last month. Better late than never I suppose. – You may remember a mod announced a couple years back called City 17: Episode One. If you don’t, feel free to check out their ModDB page. Since you’re clearly a mole person who’s been living under a rock. The developers strove to make a number of enhancements to the Source engine to offer a more visually enticing experience to compliment the mod’s atmosphere and nicely crafted gameplay.

To start off, we have chosen a small project from the community known as “Half-Life Mobile”. As the name may suggest, the project is an attempt to bring Half-Life to the mobile platform.

It’s an amazing effort which combines the experience of Half-Life with the technical potential of the modern smartphone.

This started out as a part of my upcoming review of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but I have decided to release it on its own, as a sort of prelude or companion piece, to the aforementioned review. I would like to thank my awesome colleagues here at LambdaGen: Erebus; Flamov; and Mimaz, for their invaluable assistance and input, during the creation of this article.

In order to properly discuss Global Offensive, we must first delve deep into the dark (okay, maybe not dark – slightly poorly lit) history of Counter-Strike, as a whole!
