In November 2009, a small filmmaking production studio called Mexican Standoff started working on a non-profit fan film based on Valve’s hit zombie shooter Left 4 Dead.
A trailer for the upcoming film, simply entitled ‘Left 4 Dead – The Movie‘ was just uploaded to YouTube and has already gained some traction, check it out:
Set in what appears to be the apocalyptic scene from the original Left 4 Dead, a group of live action actors depicting survivors Francis, Bill, Zoey, and Louis are shown trying to fight for survival in a zombie infested urban setting.
So far not much else is known about the story, however there is a lot of information about the actual production of the film over on the official website.
Mexican Standoff have also released some epic looking backstage stills from the movie, as well as some promotional posters:
In the meantime, you can find out more information about Left 4 Dead – The Movieon the official website, there is also a Facebook page too if you want to keep updated with future developments.
Also, stay tuned for a Q&A with the director Daniele Bellucci that we will be posting shortly.
That was really good! I like the Half-Life 2 movies as well.
Looking forward to this.
