Yes, everyone’s favorite Mutation is finally back.
Everything is coming up Taannkk!!
Scared to play Versus? Think there is too much strategy? Don’t want to embarrass yourself? Give Taannkk!! a try. We simplify everything. What does everyone spawn as? Tanks. What is trying to kill you? Tanks. Why should you keep running? Tanks. You’re welcome.
Simplify it all. Take everything down to zero. Assuming the word “tank” is synonymous with “zero”. But, yeah. It’s “Taaank”. Get some friends together and get playing.
What about last week’s poll, which asked the L4D2 fanbase if they would be playing Portal 2’s Coop mode?
Portal 2 Co-op?
For last poll we asked, do you plan on playing the Co-op section of Portal 2? 60% of you said Yes. Thanks! 18% of you plan on ignoring the robot filled co-op fun fest and 22% of you are undecided on the amount of fun you want in your lives.
I’m sure a lot more people would play Portal 2 Coop if it had some sort of “Taaank” mode. Preferably with mantis men.
The upcoming DLC is our experiment in not having a story tied to the DLC. While we are working on that, we also wanted to keep expanding the story and world of Left 4 Dead. We like comics, in fact we just released one yesterday for TeamFortress 2. So we were thinking about another comic. What about one starring the Midnight Riders? Vote in this week’s in-game poll and let us know what you think.
And as the final note:
To help with public testing, we fixed more bugs and exploits than we normally would on maps that are still in a transitional state. So don’t take bug fixes as declaring something final. Besides that we also added two experiments. The first is the end of the first map. The second is an alternate route around the mast of doom. Let us know what you think about those two and all of the changes.
We are going to be concentrating on the first 3 maps in the next update as we do some design work on the finale based on your feedback. Thanks for all your feedback, suggestions, and bug reporting.
Sounds great! Let’s hope we see this thing by the end of… summer? Okay, how about fall? Maybe winter? Yeah, winter 2011 sounds reasonable.
