It’s time for the annual Spike Video Game Awards. While, as usual, there will be plenty of awards given out to some rather… undeserving nominees… *coughcallofdutycough* and too many rappers, there’s one good thing about these awards.
Vote for Portal 2 at the Spike VGA’s Most Anticipated Game of 2011 and IGN’s new Portal 2 preview
News & Rumors
You get to vote in certain categories in the hope the awards won’t eventually go to yet another bunch of generic shooters.
You’re now able to vote for the “Most Anticipated Game of 2011”, and the nominees for this category are Batman: Arkham City, BioShock: Infinite, ahem… Gears of War 3… and our beloved Portal 2.
You can also write in your own choice, which is great, for those of you eagerly expecting approximately 4 other first-person shooters, and the new Mortal Kombat.
The nominees are great, except for that other game that someone appears to have dropped in from the “fratboy game” section. No offense. Oh, and the 3D text on this page is just terrible.
But come on! We all know who we’re voting for, right?
Portal 2, of course!

Once you’re done with that, check out IGN’s new preview of Portal 2.
There’s no new gameplay or info, but it’s a neat recap of all that we know thus far.
Overall, we cannot wait for April 20th. And the 22nd too, but it will be a painful two days to wait through.
