Steam Support Is Now On Twitter

News & Rumors Other

From time to time, you get a lovely love letter, in the form of an attempt to hack your Steam account, straight from a hacker from… Latvia, or something. There’s a few things you can do in this case: blush and wonder how one might go about contacting such a secret admirer, or desperately try to get your account back while shouting brutal threats at anyone in your vicinity, or contacting Steam Support.

Some say it doesn’t help, but that’s silly. Support is on the way, and you’ll get your account back. All your valuable TF2 items and yes, your prized indie game collection, complete with associated leaderboard scores will be safe yet again. And now there’s a quicker way to contact these great folks, so you don’t go insane while waiting for a response.

Steam Support Is Now On Twitter

Yes, Steam Support is now on Twitter – home to Eastern European and Middle Eastern revolutions all around the globe, a couple of celebrities and us. Don’t take this as a sign that Valve kicked out the Steam Support guys because they were presumably using too much… food, or something. No, Steam Support is still what you should use in case of an urgent account-related emergency. Their Twitter is what you should use in case of a… different variety of emergency.

English only for now. Remember, these folks are humans. Not protocol droids. They might add some new languages soon, but if you don’t speak English, then I have absolutely no idea how you’re reading this. But you’re goooooooood.

So, head on over to Twitter and… follow Steam Support… or something! I have no idea how this stuff functions. No, I’m not a Luddite. I swear.

Note: Our description of this article on our RSS feed says: “Just don’t ask them “how is babby formed”. Tornum, who is presumably one of our readers, actually asked them that on Twitter. Thanks to Browstone for letting us know! Check out their reply. We love you, Steam Support.
