The reveal, and subsequent beta release of the Source Filmmaker has ushered in what may be a new age of machinima film-making. For now, it might only seem like an endless onslaught of Meet the Heavy parodies, but very soon, we’ll start seeing the good stuff coming to light. Unless it’s already happened. Not too long ago, community member Jojje got a hold of the SFM beta. And it would seem he’s put it to some very good use – this is his just-released video project, titled “Just One More Hat”. It’s a ballad devoted to the feelings of want and desire that every Team Fortress 2 player comes to experience, regarding the pursuit of hats.
And with some great musical accompaniment, courtesy of the one and only Ken Ashcorp (the song itself is slightly inspired by “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid), this video is… well, unbelievably awesome. Let’s take a look:

To be honest, the song really put me off, as the person singing doesn’t have an appealing voice. The video, on the other hand, was superb. Very good animation, despite some minor but noticeable flaws.
The voice seems to be very much a personal issue with everyone I’ve talked to. Personally I love it, it fits the theme well.
Very good. Really looking forward to seeing what the community puts out with the SFM.
