In a similar vein to last year’s Left 4 Dead Midnight Riders music video contest, Valve has unveiled a music video creation contest based on The National’s “Exile Villify”, which most of us know from Portal 2.

Little over a week away from E3, by the way.
Well, these guys have certainly been keeping themselves busy!
Fans have been putting together their own unofficial Portal 2 soundtracks since the game’s release, and while Mike Morasky has stated that Valve will release the game’s soundtrack soon, you can’t blame folks for being impatient!
And now, all those fans can drop what they’re doing. Because…
The Rapture has come and gone (presumably Randy Savage was the only true Christian on Earth), but we’re still at it.
In case you haven’t finished the game yet (it’s school exam season in quite a few countries, for example), then you might want to not watch this. Because it’s a typography of the entire end song. Major Spoiler.
Many of us were heartbroken upon hearing the news of Kelly Bailey’s departure from Valve, but many of us were also confident that his spiritual successor Mike Morasky would indeed be a spiritual successor, as his previous work in Team Fortress 2, Portal and Left 4 Dead speaks for itself. GamesRadar recently interviewed Morasky about the music in Portal 2, and while Morasky had lots to say on the subject, he also threw in some new and old samples of songs to listen to. This article is definitely a feast for eyes and ears alike, and be sure to hit the jump for a brief lowdown.
Apologies for the 4 days of silence. I’ve been quite busy lately (this is also why there’s been less news), and since I’m the only writer around here anymore (we’ll remedy this soon, though), it had a bad impact on the site.
Well, let’s start then.
