Sorry for the lack of activity around here! I’ve been really busy lately, and since I’m probably the last of the mohicans around here, it’s had a nasty effect on the site. I’m working on ways to ensure this doesn’t really happen again, and you’ll be hearing about that very shortly. Let’s just say it involves putting more people into our lovely, imaginary offices.
Three years ago, a spirit child was conceived. Its first name was 17, and its last name was podcast. Yes, it’s been 3 years since Podcast 17 was created by Phillip Marlowe of PlanetPhillip, and William McMahon.
Okay, I forgot about one of these things again. Will these Mutations ever end?
Another interesting news week – Dota 2 gets leaked, with some interesting references to Episode Three. On top of that, there was my gigantic Portal 2 critique, a colossal CSS update, and the release of the Death Toll beta for L4D2. And people say nothing ever happens in this community!
The Dota 2 leak, despite representing a bit of a problem for Valve, has made many fans happy. Lots of revealing mentions of Episode Three, mysterious mentions of a space game titled “SOB”, and much more. But the real treasure hidden behind all these gigabytes? Valve’s new logo intro video.
Much like the announcement of Day of Defeat: Galactic Warfare, the release of the Death Toll beta from the upcoming Cold Stream DLC simply came out of nowhere.
A new Mutation… but no new poll in the blog post. Strange. This week’s Mutation is “Hunting Party” for Campaign mode – nothing but Hunters around. Good for practicing your skeet and dead-stop skills. As for last week’s poll results – no single-instance weapons. We lost. And, again, no new blog, though apparently there might be one in-game. Check out more at the blog post.
It’s been a very troubling couple of days for us here at LambdaGeneration. Between Half-Life 2 going non-canon, and most of the TF2 team losing their most valuable organs, we’ve had problems keeping up with it all.
