There are two types of games. Elevator simulators, and bad games. While, of course, there are a few “bad games” that manage to overcome the inherent problems of not being elevator simulators, such as Desert Bus, and Scientist Slaughterhouse: Mod Mess-up. But it’s the elevator simulators that stand the test of time, and enter the Hall of… Elevation. And it was so, that Elevator: Source (or Lift: Source, if you live in the Commonwealth) was born. I mean… hoisted.

I’m starting to think not a single week is going to pass us by without something Half-Life-related to slap us in the face.
A very, very long time ago, in February of 2007, CaLeB (or, as he is now known… oxcjae) released a lovely little Garry’s Mod comedy video, UnKnown Moments. A crazy collection of all sorts of weird and surreal comedy sketches, UKM was a hit, and just half a year later, it got an even better sequel. But we had to wait one whole year for part 3. And another whole year for part 4. While we got some holiday-themed shorts during 2010, last year brought us absolutely zilch on the UKM front.
Well, you need wait no longer. Unless you haven’t actually been waiting for it, in which case… gah, screw it. UnKnown Moments 5 is finally here. All the classic in-jokes, running jokes, characters, and signature moments are back. Twice the length as well. It’s the last one of the series, so let’s take a look!
Much like Area 51, of Deus Ex fame. Except I am totally not Bob Page.
Hey all! Looks like Garry’s Mod has sold over one million copies. Since its official release on the 26th of November, 2006, the mod’s had a slow and steady climb in sales over the years, with some spikes in sales here and there. The community has helped vastly with this mod, and as such, the mod has a large community centered around it, often making machinimas, comics and various fan-made content.
Garry’s even shared a sale graph with us, showing the highs and low of the GMod sales:
Old Garry was planning on releasing a big secret update after selling one million copies, but sales exceeded that number before he finished with the update. Looks like this update’s going to be pretty huge.
Well, what do you know? It’s only been a few hours since Flamov started writing for the site, and he’s already serving my ass as the main course! In terms of writing, of course.
Earlier today Garry Newman, creator of Garry’s Mod, sent out the following tweet:
Anyone unable to shade polygon normals?
Newman uses his Twitter account to communicate with players of Garry’s Mod, and while this tweet in particular may seem nothing other than normal, it wasn’t. It was a trap for people who have pirated Garry’s Mod.
28 weeks later… Vic finally remembered that Roundups are supposed to be released on Friday.
