“Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and Other Steam-Powered Stories” Comic Book to be Released on November 16th by Dark Horse Comics

News & Rumors Other

If you went back in time to 1999 or 2001 and asked the then-young Valve community what was their favorite thing about Valve, odds are the word “comic” might not have come up much. But now, in the year 2011, that word might get quite a few mentions. With the help of the great Mike Oeming, Valve has made six TF2 mini-comics, one L4D comic, and one Portal comic, all of them absolutely brilliant. But they’ve always been web-exclusive. So when’s Valve finally going to do something about that?

“Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and Other Steam-Powered Stories” Comic Book to be Released on November 16th by Dark Horse Comics

For fifteen years, Valve has defined the cutting edge of video games. Now, Valve joins with Dark Horse to bring three critically acclaimed, fan-favorite series to print, with a hardcover collection of comics from the worlds of Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, and Portal. With over three hundred pages of story, Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and other Steam-Powered Stories is a must-read for fans looking to further explore the games they love or comics readers interested in dipping their toes into new mythos!

Right now, apparently, as Dark Horse has just revealed the “Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and Other Steam-Powered Stories” comic book, and it seems as though they may have done it accidentally, as no formal announcement has yet been given. This information can only be found in Comic Book Resources‘ list of Dark Horse solicitations. There is, of course, quite a bit of info on the comic:

And that’s it. No idea on the exact number of Valve comics that will appear in this compilation, and no idea if any comics will be brand new. This may be the cover of this comic book:
