The XBLA indie hit “Super Meat Boy” is coming to the PC, with a host of new exclusive characters, including Half-Life’s Headcrab!
Super Meat Boy’s Steam Version to Include the Headcrab as a Playable Character
News & Rumors
The Headcrab will be exclusive to the Steam version of Super Meat Boy.
It will replace Gish, a character exclusive to the XBLA version, who previously appeared in the appropiately titled “Gish”, a game Edmund McMillen (Super Meat Boy’s lead designer) created back in 2004.
The Headcrab will replace Gish as the 1st unlockable bandage character. Much like Gish, he will stick to walls but also have more horizontal jumping power as a head crab should.
The Steam version of Super Meat Boy comes out on November 30th, and will be priced at 15 dollars.
However, starting the 23rd, you will be able to pre-order it on Steam, at 33% off (that’s 5 dollars less).
Overall, this sounds great!
We’ll definitely keep an eye on Super Meat Boy in the future.

AWESOME!
Indeed. I think this is the first cameo a HL character has ever had in another video game, ever since “Peggle Extreme” back in 2007.
