Portal 2 – User-Created Levels Will Be Available On All Platforms

News & Rumors Other

That’s a strange headline, I know.

Portal 2 – User-Created Levels Will Be Available On All Platforms

In an interview with NowGamer, Valve’s Chet Faliszek said this:

“The mod tools have to stay on the PC side just because there’s a bunch of dependencies that require the Windows platform,” Faliszek told NowGamer. “But the content that comes out is agnostic, and so we will be seeing that on all the platforms. Depending on the platform you’re on I should say, will depend on how we’re delivering it.”

Faliszek confirmed that PS3 gamers would receive such content through the upcoming Steam works features.

Very interesting to hear. I do wonder how this will be done.

Stay tuned, as apparently NowGamer has a full Portal 2 interview with Chet on the way.

  4. So, basically, as always, Valve took the next step in console-PC interaction.
Mods abailavle for all supported plataforms means that PS3 users can enjoy custom community content.
This is something that console (PS3) players always dreamed about.
    Well plaid, Valve.
