Announcing LlamaGeneration!

Community & Projects Other

Writing about Valve, their community, their games and their engines is fun, but sometimes you just want to do… more, you know?

It feels as if it’s all pointless, and it’s getting dull too.

What can you do then?

Announcing LlamaGeneration!

Replace LambdaGeneration with LlamaGeneration, of course!

You all know the noble llama, right? We’ve decided that it deserves a tribute. Too many people have neglected the great llama.

Gabe Newell (and several other Valve employees) declined to comment on the llama. How could this be? We assumed such a respectable company would love the llama. This only goes to show that we need to focus more on these lovely, lovely camelids.

Out with Valve stuff, in with the llama stuff, baby. It’s not like you guys visited our site for the Valve stuff, right? Besides, PC gaming is dead. *spit* Ahihihihihihihi.

From now on, LlamaGeneration will focus on nothing but llama and other camelid related news, as part of the Video Game Domestic Animals network, which we’ll be talking about shortly.

Speaking of talking, let’s talk more about llamas! They are much older than Valve, which means they have a lot more experience in… things. When was Valve founded? 1996. When did the llama appear? 40 million years ago. Evidently, the llama is wise. And old.

And useful! In the words of Wikipedia: “Llamas have a fine undercoat which can be used for handicrafts and garments. The coarser outer guard hair is used for rugs, wall-hangings and lead ropes. The fiber comes in many different colors ranging from white, grey, reddish brown, brown, dark brown and black.”

You hear that? What are you wearing? No, wait, I don’t mean it that way! I mean what you’re wearing right now could come from a llama! No, not just a llama. The llama.

Come on, guys! Let’s do the llama’s mating sound. Orgle! Orgle!

That said, we thank you for all your support, and we hope you’ll stick with us. It’s the dawn of a new era for LlamaGeneration. Hang in there with us, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

We love you, llama.
