There’s been a couple of times when we spotted references towards EP3 content within another Valve game’s content. In fact, the Combine OverWiki has an entire article on the subject. It hasn’t happened in a while, though. It was getting a bit dull –  exploring the depths of game folders in hopes of finding… whatever, can be surprisingly enjoyable. And it turns out it’s happening again! 

Last year, Valve did not attend E3 2011. At the time, all they had to show off was Dota 2 (although they could have revealed CS:GO on stage, so as to time it with the 12th anniversary of the Counter-Strike franchise), which isn’t the kind of game you show off at E3. Still, it wasn’t the first time they’d missed E3 (they did not attend E3 2000; 2001; 2002; 2005 and E3 2006), but it might have been the time it hurt fans the most.

They won’t be hurting us this time, though – it has been confirmed that Valve will be attending E3 2012, which will take place in Los Angeles, from the 5th of June to the 7th of June, 2012.
